Moments that cannot be planned on a run sheet

The Tag des Sports 2026 celebrated its 25th anniversary on 26 September at Vienna’s Heldenplatz, bringing together around 80 sports organisations, more than 300 athletes and dozens of opportunities for 250,000 visitors to get active themselves.

We were there again, supporting the organisers — and doing what we love most: being close to the people, ideas and organisations that move sport forward.

And then came the final push.

The challenge was simple: 25,000 push-ups for 25 years of Tag des Sports. Everyone could contribute — one, ten, a hundred. With just 15 minutes left, around 1,200 push-ups were still missing.

So 120 people stepped forward. Ten push-ups each.

No elaborate production. No complicated activation. Just people getting down on the ground together and finishing what had been started. 1,200 push-ups. Event Challenge achieved.

Our QT and black belt fighter Marina getting ready for the final push.

That is perhaps the best image of what the Tag des Sports is about: elite sport and everyday movement meeting in the same place, and a challenge becoming a collective achievement.

For us, the day was also about the people behind the scenes.

We met many of our colleagues from the Austrian sports and event industry — some people we work with regularly, others we seem to meet almost exactly once a year, at events like this. Those encounters are part of what makes the Austrian sports ecosystem so valuable: relationships built over time, across organisations, disciplines and projects.

And there were new connections, too.

We were particularly pleased to meet Mr Ferrari, Heribert Kasper, who invited us to the sports car event in Velden next year. Velden is just a short journey from our base in Tarvisio — so naturally, we are already looking forward to continuing the conversation there.

Thank you to the Tag des Sports team for another energetic day and for letting us contribute once again. And to the 120 people who simply got down and did their ten:

That was sport.

Not because someone told you to.

Because there were 1,200 left — and everyone decided to do their part.
